For Lent: Contemplative Prayer Series Will Open Your Heart and Mind to God

This series will help you quiet your mind in order to seek deeper union with God.

In contemplative prayer, "We open our awareness to God whom we know by faith is within us, closer than breathing, closer than thinking, closer than choosing – closer than consciousness itself," writes Trappist monk Thomas Keating. "Contemplative prayer is a process of interior purification leading, if we consent, to divine union.” Led by credentialed and experienced prayer guides, this series begins with an introductory session from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 26. Continuing education and practice will happen from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. on six (6) consecutive Thursdays, Mar. 3 to April 7. All sessions will happen in St. Patrick Church. Virtual participation via Zoom also will be available. Register Below. The per person fee is $15 and includes a copy of Thomas Keating's book, "Open Heart, Open Mind." Questions? Contact Mark Dean
