Dear St. Patrick Families,

Archdiocese of Louisville Catholic elementary and high schools are closed tomorrow, Jan. 27, 2026. It will be a Distance Learning Day for St. Patrick. See reminders below.

Thank you and stay safe.

Dr. Nathan Sturtzel

Principal

DISTANCE LEARNING GUIDELINES (p 35)

During these designated Distance Learning Days, students are required to complete work from home in place of attending a day of school. As Distance Learning Days count for a day of school, students will be asked to participate in at least four hours of learning each day. The completed assignments will provide teachers evidence of learning and serve as a confirmation of attendance for a particular lesson. Students will be held accountable for all work and parents will be expected to work with faculty to support their child in submitting all assignments. Students have until the second in-person learning day following the snow days to complete and submit the work in class (i.e. Monday work is due on Wednesday if we have returned to school). Students will be counted absent if they do not submit the academic work. Per archdiocesan policy, up to 5 Distance Learning Days can be used during the school calendar year.

At the beginning of each Distance Learning Day, families will be notified of the day’s expectations via teacher email. Assignments will be shared by 9 AM, and teachers will be available by email between 9 AM and 1 PM to answer questions and give guidance. Special area classes will be assigned by grade level at the discretion of the principal.

UPDATE Sunday, January 25, 2026

Campus will be closed on Monday, January 26. This includes daily mass also being cancelled.

A message from the School [sent out at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, January 25, 2026]:

Dear St. Patrick Families,

Archdiocese of Louisville Catholic elementary and high schools are closed tomorrow, Jan. 26, 2026. St. Patrick will not have Distance Learning and will make this day up on May 22, 2026.

This was our final Flex day, so Distance Learning will be in effect for any additional school closures this year.

Thank you,

Dr. Nathan Sturtzel
